Treadmill

We bought a new treadmill and set it up this weekend. Thanks Trey for helping us get that heavy and awkward thing up the stairs! It's been great so far - let's hope I can keep it up and sometimes use it before I go to work in the morning.

Pond Hockey

Today we all went to Eagle River to watch Brad play in the pond hockey tournament. They lost, but it was a lot of fun to watch. Usually Brad is by far the best skater on the ice whenever I play with him, but it was interesting to see him play with other people who are really good.

The pond hockey tournament is a real treat to see. Some people take it really seriously and others are there to have a lot of fun. Seeing some of the creative names and uniforms really makes me want to make a team for next year. I really hope we can get the Goons back together for at least one more shot at glory. So, what do you say guys? Finnerty? Cybella? Lance? Porter boys?

The goals they use are really great - I wish we had them back at Parkway. They are metal beams welded together to form a goal that is probably only 6 inches high. It helps to discourage lifting the puck. Oh to think how many times EJ lifted the puck and still was able to score with the benches we used to form the goals! My shins hurt just thinking about it!
