I own this game

Tonight was the first time in probably 34 years that I've actually won in Candyland. I got lucky and hit that huge ladder that takes you almost all the way to the top. Meg and Henry were still getting measley ones and twos on their spins, but after an unlucky ride on the slide down two rows, I rolled the 2 that I needed and landed on the one square that has the ladder that takes you right to the finish line!

Woo Hoo! I OWN that game.

Oh, Henry ran in the chase the Hodag run this morning - it was his first race. Meg carried him about half of it, but he had a great time.

New Scrabble Champ!

My parents just visited for the past week and it was really great. My Mom and I had a pretty intense Scrabble tournament and I am happy to say (although I feel a bit guilty about it) that I won the tournament 4 games to 2! The last game I just got really lucky and got all the big point letters and she got nothing but one pointers pretty much the whole game...
